Despite its quantitative growth in public law, constitutional economics has predominantly focused on explicit economic principles, yielding a superficial understanding of the constitutional economic order. This study addresses the limitation that fundamental economic rules are often embedded beyond expressly economic provisions, with scholarship remaining largely principle-centered. It questions whether solely analyzing explicit economic principles can sufficiently explain resource allocation and economic power structures at the constitutional foundation. The article aims to reconstruct constitutional economics via a methodological shift from principle to proposition, revealing normative, economically consequential layers within the constitutional text. Employing a proposition-centered, comparative approach, the research demonstrates that a constitution's economic orientation lies not only in its economic chapters but also in ostensibly non-economic norms like human dignity, the economic agent, and social justice. These implicit propositions shape the economic game's rules by redefining market freedom, state intervention, and distributive justice, thereby impacting policy predictability. Ignoring this normative layer, the study concludes, creates conceptual blockages and conceals inherent economic order conflicts. The innovation lies in shifting the analytical unit from economic principle to economic proposition, offering a method to reconstruct the latent architecture of the constitutional economic order.
